Frequently Asked Questions...

Do the rooms have air-conditioning?

Certainly.  Air conditioning is essential in Rome - especially during the summer.  Our rooms have full climate control in additional to mechanical fans

Do the rooms have private bathrooms?

Absolutely.  Our rooms have en-suite bathrooms with hydro massage showers.

Do the rooms have a balcony?

No, The rooms are in an old palazzo with barrel vaulted ceilings and skylights.  They are however well-lit and comfortable.

Is there internet access at the accommodation?

Yes. The Rifugio Degli Artisti has high-speed Wi-Fi internet connections available in all rooms and it’s completely free of charge!

When can I check-in?

Check-in is from 2pm until 6:30pm.

By when must I have checked out?

Check-out is until 11am.

Will staff be able to speak my language?

Our staff are highly-trained and multi-lingual and can even arrange a host of booking services (e.g. restaurants, theatres, etc) if Italian is a problem for you.

Will staff always be available to help me?

Yes – our hotel reception is available to assist you 24hrs per day.

Is the accommodation in a good location?

The guesthouse is situated between the River Tiber and Via del Corso – the most popular shopping street.  There are therefore lots of shops, restaurants and bars in the area.  To the northeast is Villa Borghese park and Piazza del Popolo which also has an underground stop.  To the East is the Spanish Steps. To the South West is Vatican, Sistine Chapel, St Peter’s Basilica and the trendy area of Prati.  To the South is ancient Rome with Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, Piazza Venezia, and the Imperial Roman Forum.  What more could you ask for!!?

Is it easy to get to the hotel?

Yes. We offer a shuttle service (for a surcharge) from the airport directly to our door.  Alternatively there are direct transport links from the airports to Termini Station and from there one can take multiple options to reach us. Take a look at our Location page for more detailed instructions.
